Perception Or Reality

Reality is veiled within the prism of perception

Clarity is misjudged, which seeks constant validation.

It’s a foggy mist that distances individuals and situations

With only our imagination that flirts with treacherous devotion

Both hold guns and spill blood

Fight for a cause, love for their land

Yet one is called a martyr and the other king of terror.

Peace again is a perceived notion

For some it’s love and transcendental, while for some it is fanatic obsession

Perceptions are deeply entrenched

Nurtured in minds that are completely fenced

Such social conditioning are ruining when we all need some healing

Sadly the hands that rise in praying, reveal the identity of those worshipping

Some value diversity while some wants uniformity and conformity

Few sees through this cruelty and insanity

And hopes for the mind to reflect upon this brutality

Why there is a fight for supremacy ?

Is it because perception has their own reality

Do we blame it on destiny

Or is it our incapability to see the reality.

Love and kindness is all that this world needs

If only we can abandon our greed

Heart is bleeding, yet it is hoping

For life to reflect on its true meaning,

The only mantra for peace however is for this hatred to cease

When love, acceptance and harmony will reign supreme.
