Path Between the Pines

Along the narrow path,

the pines sway in conversation with the sky.

Each needle, a message,

each shadow, a question.

The ground whispers under my feet,

telling stories of those who walked before,

their echoes tangled with the wind,

carried beyond sight, beyond time.

A sudden gust lifts a leaf

it dances, hesitant,

then falls again,

as if testing the air’s patience.

I pause beneath a towering pine,

its roots gripping secrets deep as stone.

The wind threads through the branches,

and I feel the weight of unspoken truths

pressing against the earth,

gentle yet insistent.

The path twists ahead,

sometimes open, sometimes hidden,

but always urging the wanderer forward,

toward places unseen,

where the horizon bends and whispers:

“Keep walking, keep listening.”
