Past, present and future

My past is filled with memories of you

My present is tainted of thoughts about you

I dreamed of a future of me and you

But life has certainly been tough without you

I hate that I loved you so much

You caught me with that infectious smile and that healing touch

I gave you my all, but my all was not enough

And now that we are separated, I crave you more

Because in life we always want what’s gone or what we never had before

Time has gone by and I still think of you

But I can’t waste my present, pondering about memories of you

We went our separate ways coz the situation shows we wore never meant to be

So no more wasting my present thinking of you and me

The future is untold for all those that are alive

But my future was bright coz I believed that you would be by my side

But expectations is something nobody should have

As when the unexpected happens it leaves you dreary and sad

Love is something that you brought into my life

I know because I felt it when I looked into your eyes

And although you are just my painful memory that I need to get over

One thing came from loving you and is that I am definitely gone stronger.
