Parasites
By Yashika Taneja
They, they, they
Eat my entrails away
Suck on my heart
With blood thirsty art
On my bones they gnaw
I wince with an awe
On my flesh they feast
With inhibition in the least
They thrive on my money
Gobble meat, milk, and honey
They keep asking for more
Leaving me dry and sore
They are my very own
In their soil, I was sown
I am their guinea pig
Into my depths they constantly dig
I, I, I,
How long will I ply?
No more can I provide
By demands I cannot abide
I want to end the story
Lest it turn really gory
Till my nerves start to bleed
And my breaths no more heed!!
No more will I comply
To these creatures vile and sly
Faces dripping with greed
They call themselves pedigree breed
They hoard and hoard, keep hoarding
Jewels, foodstuff, and clothing
Still, they are always running short
Satisfaction in their eyes never caught
They call me their very own
Really, they belong to no one
My heart rips open and bleeds
For respite to them I plead
They suck, they drain my open heart
Their loving words prick me like a dart
I yearn and yearn and yearn to die
Leave these slithering, starving creatures sly
I sell myself, a whore on the street
To let them enjoy belches of the treat
Oh, I trade with the devil, my own soul
To fulfil chalked out by them, my role
No more, no more, no more
Will I listen to ideal folk lore
I shall, I shall, I shall REBEL
Let my people go to HELL!!
