Your song is hurting me, I am not calm.

Somewhere there nearer to the shore

I can see your screams, at me, or.

What I hear, are just the sounds so disguised

That I stopped recognising myself

The smiles are just mirrored, forgotten

Images stay far that I stopped recognising myself

Where do I go? So unanswered.

Not somewhere so peaceful.

Not somewhere so happier.

But to you, in blood and cuts, to be not me.

But then I stopped recognising myself.

From the powdered dreams to a shapeless stone.

I stay awake all night and shut in all day

And masked with laughter for no one to know

That my darker nights are with pillows so tired

Of my beautiful, unheard tunes.

I try, I calm, holding the warmth.

And open my eyes to see myself.

With my arms wrapped around me like a shelter to myself.

My dreams are blank, unplanned

Not seeing to a tomorrow

And then, someone called me, ‘a maniac’.

-myself, so tired.
