Our Thing
By Samruddhi Vinod Ghumare
I trusted the person
It became my cup of tea
Things became worsen
But we gather at three
How often do I get startled?
You do care to mention
And now I'm not there
I see things, I hear them
I get delusional
I'm lost ever since then,
The way I went.
I'm covered with fake skin
I'm swirling juice
In my room, I tore myself.
You didn't know
Underneath I had bites and a bruise
But still, you hold on for hundred years
Even though I showed you my long-lasting tears
We brought some dough
I mutter low
We snorted like buffalo
And next thing we know, we were off to our gazebo
As she raised the toast
I meant firm, to be at her post
I knew it was poisoned
So I snatched and drank her toast
I was about to be the ghost
She roasted the man who stinks the most
As I gasp for air
I will be born with an unchanged face and a name
I thank you for the peace and hope and love you gave
And here goes my last breath
Don't worry, cause I’ll see you tomorrow again
