Only if I could change,
I would remain a little girl,
Catch butterflies - like, day dreams;
Twinkle like fireflies - reckless, relentless, and beautiful.
Only if I could change,
I would look in the mirror - feel confident;
Walk with pride - dancing on every beat achieved!
Only if I could change,
I'd play basketball again, and sing aloud the hymns in the choir.
Only if I could change,
I'd open the gates of my cage, and disappear.
A new identity, name, and place;
Or maybe, I will elope - breathe, and rest for a while.
Alas, I am handcuffed with the gyves of time.
Locked with the shackles of expectations - the key is thrown afar.
All the tick-tock buzzing in my ears - telling me, it's time to add more responsibilities in my bucket.
And I suffocate thinking, only if I could change,
I would bleed myself to death - stopping everything, and time.
