Oneiric
By Wrishika Borah
The Wind is blowing,
The Sun is setting,
The Ocean Waves are crashing onto the shore,
The Seagulls are retreating,
These golden rays embrace me in a deep slumber.
White sheets wrapped around my legs,
I dream of the Constellations,
I see myself up there with them
Veiled by arrogant Cassiopeia
Between Andromeda and Cepheus;
The Daughter and the Husband,
Stays the family together for infinity.
I dream of the Fireflies;
Twinkling and flickering,
They blanket the pumpkin patch.
It seems as if the Stars have descended from their abode
And took shelther on the green grounds.
I dream and dream and dream;
Until the Sun decends into the Sea,
And night-time kisses the World in a fair greeting,
And the Tides rise,
And the Lighthouse stops flashing its light.
I dream until I cannot dream anymore.
