One Sided Hurt
By Rabhya Gupta
Pushing her away was so easy
But suffering alone was not the promise
Not letting her know was a lone decision
What she wanted, he never cared.
It was tough to breathe.
The vision was constantly blurry.
Her skin was always tingling.
And the feet were always tapping.
To wait without knowing a thing.
Flipping albums were the only relief.
She was still waiting, yet she wasn't
Coz this weight of time was a one-sided love
Wasted days, hours, and nights
Coming out of home into a light
A cold breeze, a chill through the spine
Taking a walk, but for the last time
Blinded by lights and then hit hard
Rolled on the road, lying in a pool of blood
A side of the face covered in dirt
And his break was a "one-sided hurt."
