Once Upon A girl...

I once was a girl who wanted to conquer the universe,

Now the best I can do is slay monsters through rhyme and verse.

I once had a pocket full of dreams that I wanted to achieve,

Now I try to do the best with what I can do and believe.

I once was a force to be reckoned with, a star shining bright;

Now I've calmed that power and shared that light.

I once believed in unicorns and rainbows and pixie dust that I could blow,

Now I've grown up and understand that things don't always turn out the way we want or know.

I once hoped I would change the world and inspire the nation,

Now I try my best to retain my sanity as I long for a long vacation.
