Once I Met..

I once met love in a crowded street,

You’re beautiful, I thought, will you stay with Me?

And we laughed and cried and had a good time,

But our roads diverged, and Loved moved on.

I once met Life on an empty road,

I stormed and lashed,

You’re hard and unfair, everything surrounding me has crashed.

Life said nothing, just waved and smiled,

I guess some lessons are learnt with time.

I once met Time in an old ye town,

He was younger than I expected, as I glanced with a frown.

He showed me my life, my ups and downs.

Brought up old memories, I was trying to drown.

I moved on and decided, I’ll meet Joy along the way.

Ask her to take me home, and stay.

I searched and searched but all in vain.

Defeated, I returned, to try another day.

I met Happiness in my dream, asked her where she was,

She pointed to my heart, said she was there all along.
