Old Age

The coldness of old age.

Appearing rarely now on the stage.

Both hopeful and fearful of the dwindling flame,

With nothing worthwhile now to claim.

A dark damp space is enough for their yellow soul.

Always reminded of the insignificant role.

Even to nurse their dried stomach

The wealthy coffer feels a lack.
