Oh My World

Oh my world,

My home,

My beautiful pristine blue abode!

How are you?

I am…I was beautiful, I was pristine blue,

Don’t you look around, don’t you get the clue?

I am, now a burning ball of hay,

Who lit the fire can you say!

I love you with all my heart,

But why do I get this in reward.

The stinging burn that lashes my grounds,

There will nothing be left, nothing be found.

Who burnt my lands?

Who poisoned my waters?

Who defiled my air?

That was for you to share!

My dwellers dying of plague,

Forced now you are in a cage,

Innocent children dying of guns,

Grenades in hand that you couldn’t shun!

I am flooding,

I am burning,

I am slipping away!

What will you have if I go barren,

No food, no water, no air to breathe!

Stop fighting for greed,

Stop fighting for creed,

You watch the devastation

In place of taking action!

Live beautifully as a part of my nature,

You are me and I am your mother.

Let’s grow again and grow together

Let’s plant a tree, let’s learn to nurture

Or else I die and what you have?

Look out through the eyes of your astrodome.

Can you find a place, that you can call HOME?
