2. Oh Mother Earth

Wigwams, teppees, buffaloes roam

Mohawks, Cherokees call it home

Apache, Sioux, Crow join the hunt

There was enough for everyone

Proud young bucks on quick light horses

Bows, arrows and eagle feathers

Pretty squaws with sweet sounding names Susan Deer Cloud is just the same

Palefaces in blue uniform

Appear to have got it all wrong

Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull fought hard

To reservations we depart

Feeling of loss after the war

Generations want to know more

Why were they deprived of their lands

And have to receive with both hands

Hearts are buried at wounded knee

For healing there can never be

Barren hills and infertile lands

May justice be one day at hand

Note: Every line has 8 syllables
