Oh, happy day

Oh, happy day,

Where have you been anyway?

Stuck above the greying cloud, I say?

Why don’t you come and take me away?

Sweep me off my feet, come what may,

Strolls become skips,

I shall hear my heartbeat,

Sweet melody softly in lead,

When you appear as the sweetest treat,

If you come, oh, happy day,

The sadness inside might go away,

The trickling tears that were meant to stay,

Washed away by a warm shining ray,

The lost laughter might find its place,

Cracking the hidden smiles upon my face,

I’ll devour you whole, in a tight embrace,

The sullen past, left behind, without a trace.
