Of the Unspoken

Eyes were smitten;

Within born the stars.

Entangled they stayed;

Defying gravity.

Brains urged to speak;

But the eyes did not care.

Hearts began to throb​;

Breaths grew heavy.

Hands quivered;

His pockets became a quiet cover.

But what of those hands of hers?

Like a whip lashing the air,

She clasped them tight

Behind her back.

Feet started fidgeting,

Here and there.

Yet the eyes remained still.

Spectrum of emotions,

Exploded within.

Yet the eyes did not spare.

Start speaking!

Petitioned the brains,

Over and over.

But no pity from eyes;

Stayed intact they,

Not losing the gleam.

With eyes they spoke,

Merely in minutes.

But the ocean of memories,

In between they hold,

Even the stars whispered:

Too many to count.

Began to part they,

From standing still.

Eyes refused to close,

Fearing to forget the gaze,

But a drop of tears rose like a haze,

Masking the seeings of their missings.

Spared those eyes now,

Betraying them now.

Smirked those brains now,

Sparing no mercy now.
