Ode To The Steel Frame

A test that begins before it even starts,

With a syllabus that has never ending parts.

Like a baptism of fire, it deepens your mind,

It moulds you to be firm, it teaches you to be kind.

In this gruelling long race, if you do make it,

Remain grateful and humble but do not fake it.

Remember that a thirsty nation calls for your duty,

It’s a privilege to serve, isn't that the real beauty?

The road will not be smooth, it never has been,

They may try to slow you with lies not foreseen;

But fall you not prey to their treacherous game,

But let your spine add strength to Sardar's steel frame.

And if you begin to question if that frame has rusted,

Remember that to redeem that glory, you have been trusted.

So, strive like a soldier, but enjoy your duty,

Because it’s a privilege to serve and that is the real beauty.
