Ode To The Mountains

As we climb up the quaint hilly Himalayan towns

Playing hide and seek with the snow clad crowns

I hear your melody in my lyrics and my music becomes you.

Even as the birds chirp amidst the early morning dew

As I see the morning sun gently caressing your bosom

Your serene beauty makes even a broken heart blossom

And gazing up at the pearl studded night so peaceful,

I learn to value moments in life truly beautiful

With the serpentine stream, that finds peace only in the plain

You teach us to keep going in spite many a pain

You remind us of life, in spite of its twists and turns

We must keep seeking what our heart truly yearns

Fortunate we are to have been guests at your abode

Amidst those narrow brooks and winding roads

Surrounded by your beauty that takes my breath away

And your gift of golden memories that forever shall stay
