Ode to Summer

Summer is almost here,

The alluring and charming flowers appear.

The hot air was pricking my skin,

Drinking hot water was a sin!

The scorching sun was shining brightly,

I was sweating slightly.

There lay piles of dry leaves,

Cold drinks are what everyone receives.

The appetizing and the flavoursome food,

I chewed.

The aromatic smell of food was overwhelming,

And my ice-cream was melting!

Animals and birds are active this time,

The beauty of the summers is sublime.

And as Keat says, “A thing of beauty is a joy forever”,

Let’s imbibe the beauty of life with full endeavor!
