Ode To Spring

Oh those luscious leaves

And the warble of those fledgling

That thin pleasant, cloud-like wind

Nurturing the soft blooming florets

That season of rebirth

Joyce our domicile

The perfect sun pours his throat

Responsive to the cuckoo's note.

See those thick branches of the cherry blossom

The kind of gloaming never seen in autumn

The mites hold on for the change of season

Oh that golden-beaked eagle waiting for months

Those colorful creatures in the water hang around until

The sun shines up and a million jocund faces

And when the sun is set

The spring is gone

But let us frolic

Till May is around
