Ode To Hope

Let’s live a little more, before it’s late

Before the time consumes our fate

This world will succumb to war and plague

All our beliefs will soon seem vague

Reason will fade and doubt will reign

We will be caught in invisible chains

There’ll be nothing: faith, hope or love

No good news will bring any dove

All we have is today and now

Let’s get closer and make a vow

That we’ll live true and we’ll live right

We’ll turn to things pure and bright

We will all live and not just cope

We will all live while there’s still hope
