Ocean Of Perplexity

Updated: Jul 30

By Jiah Zahid Abdulla

I have come so far.

I have lost my way back.

Only blue, blue sea,

I can see.

There is no way back,

I can see.

Perhaps I am lost,

In the blue, blue sea

The great ocean of perplexity.

Where all the waves leap against me.

I am hopeless and sure

That I am lost.

The ocean frightens me.

It’s depth scares me.

The waves feel heavy on my chest.

I cannot breathe.

I cannot swim.

My heart does not remember it's own rhythm.

And yet...only blue, blue sea

I can see.

There is no way back,

I can see,

From the Ocean of Perplexity.
