Ocean

Through the green forest, sun rays piercing through the tall leaves I see in the distance; my beach!

I have never been there, yet it feels familiar, I have never been there, yet it feels like it is mine.

As I approach the coast, I am blinded, for there are no trees to protect me from the light.

I have never been here, yet it feels familiar, I have never been here, yet it feels like it is mine.

I am drawn to the ocean, it calls me in, pulling me against my will, so I don't resist I stand there in awe.

I have never been here, yet it feels familiar, I have never been here, yet it feels like it is mine

What is it that takes me away?

What is it that keeps me with it?

What is it that makes it mine?

For I had never been in love and this was my very first time.
