NOT JUST A ROSE

Once upon a time, in a garden with a tainted glow,

There bloomed a rose with petals to show.

As the rose grew, she was told to be meek,

Only to be told to learn how to speak.

Her blooming was faulted, though its nature's decree.

"You're just a rose, what more can you be".

The roots of a rose, you see,

Create life for you and me.

She's love and care,

But her thorns still dare.

It's nature's rule, know the deal

more roses picked, the more thorns you'll feel.
