Nostalgia

They say not to dwell on the past,

But to think of what lies ahead;

But what if you have a part of you

In the past, which when lost

Will make you dread?

Oh the fearless days!

When we knew not of the cruel sphere,

When we were too naive

To know about the inhumane world,

When only an unharmed arm was dear.

When our best friend was our teddy,

When goodbyes meant

Meeting each other the next day;

And when breaking friendship

Was only a few hours of resent.

How I wish to go back those blithe days

And not just think of the extravaganza,

How I wish to escape out, only to

Enter into those gleeful days of yore

And verily live in the nostalgia!
