Non-Existence

I don't exist, and mostly that's okay.

I am like the gaze of a one sided lover, That remains silent, forlorn

As they watch the one they love fall for someone else.

That unfinished story, Incomplete, forgotten

I lie in the pages of a diary, That was once hidden away, Full of secrets.

The silent wave,

the one that looks beautiful,

but remains unseen, unknown,

Because it doesn't make a sound.

That silent breeze,

That flows through the body, On days it is too hot

The way a mother protects Her baby from heat.

How do you go from this, To existing?

I did, I loved.

And it came back around.

I'm not so non-existent anymore, But at times,

I miss the silence, the monotonous Gaze, and my silent heart.

At times, it was better than the pain,

That comes when someone loves you back.
