My eyes opened.

Something was wrong.

I was in an ambulance.

I couldn’t speak.

I couldn’t move.

I couldn’t feel.

The world was blurry.

Voices moved around me

but none of them reached me.

I closed my eyes and breathed.

What happened?

Where am I?

Questions.

So many questions.

And no voice to ask them.

The ambulance stopped.

Hospital parking.

A nurse’s voice, flat:

“She was in a car crash.

No response yet.

Take her to ICU.”

I felt nothing.

And that’s when I knew

something was very wrong.

Before I could understand,

darkness took me again.
