Nirbhaya The Brave Girl
By Pooja Jain
I was antigled, zipped up , hot and bothered..
I was on cloud nine.
So mirthful that somehow I felt inebriated.
Outing with my beloved one.
Building our alcazar and pie in the sky altogether.
Completely heedless and mooning of the life span and life in the wind
ahead.
It was all misty and murky that night on the streets of Munirka on 16 th
of December .
On tenterhooks for the bus to get into.
Stepped in a bus which was all Barren and deserted.
Relieving the happy three winks.
Feeling completely in the twilight zone.
Living in our own terrene.
Where insignificancy mattered.
Pandered in my own euphoria that overshadowed the cimmerian
shade coming ahead.
One along with five other people came, they did unfortunately in a
state of slumber and stupor.
Spreading the feeling of machismo and ruggedness.
We were just a bull’s-eye .
A doll to their vicious self-indulgence and primorse path.
It was barbarous and malicious.
I have goose bumps ran down my bag of bones.
I was cinched and like a legion involuntarily made to scrutinize the
whole scenario.
I was strenuously made to glare my beloved one leeching.
Even though after going through the apprehensive condition.
The aghast situation I was, in my heart, mind and soul was constantly
driving to the most jubilant, pleased and gleeful times we spend
together.
They came for me one by one for their self pleasure and satisfaction.
Aloofed, high and mighty coupled up with a pail of rod.
Inhumane and witty eyes.
With their smug look they came.
In their state of dipsomania and delirium they crossed all the limits of
humanity.
Revulsion of losing him and discomposure of losing myself, dignity,
my body was dreadful.
All I was left with soreness ,cuts, scars, sprains, swelling and
impairment.
They broke my heart and spiritual being into pieces completely.
The sonance of which was heard by none but me.
I did shrieked and howled for aid.
But not anyone came.
They threw me and my beloved one out of the moving bus.
I was left with nothing but my own naked and bare body.
Several people and vehicles passed by but none stop for the help.
Millenarian of illustrations, field of vision and thoughts plunged ahead
in my mind.
The spitting images of my life and family in heart.
The disgust and abomination for the comradeship wrapped up in
oneself.
Grievously I was part of it.
Fellow feeling and being on the same wavelength who have gone
through the same phase.
The yearning for my idolized ones and the feeling for being loved was
getting befogged.
My eyes teary.
My range of view getting smoggy.
I have forfeited the stick-to-itiveness to live.
And finally with pondering eyes I tumbled down there with the
murkiness winding-up around me.
