Night- An Enticing Mystery

Night is an enticing mystery that has always caught hold of my imagination. I, Anna Abraham, present to you, a poem inspired by the mysterious beauty.😊 As the sun fades into the dark,
A mysterious beauty embarks,
Along with a million little things that spark.
It is clouded in the air of mystery,
& forever dwells in secrecy,
of things that go bump in the night,
& hunt for its prey in the moonlight.
The night is the perfect quencher,
For the daring hearts that venture,
to seek for adventures,
or to capture the rarest of creatures.
A beauty so rare can be seldom seen,
Not a thing obscured the deep serene.
A wonderful sight that goes unseen,
Of the beautiful white, night blooming queen.
Moonflower dressed in silky white,
opening blooms in the moonlit night.
A cold silvery mist,
circles round the ancient cist,
where the frogs and toads croak in bliss.
The cauldron of bats cloaked in black,
leave their caves,
to enjoy what lies,
in the starry skies.
To come alive,
and live their lives,
Till the night dies,
-Until the sunrise.
Darkness covers the depths of the ocean,
Where the most mysterious events are in motion.
Big, round eyes,
looking for mice,
The owl flies,
Over the night skies.
Some fall deep asleep,
To live in their own fantasy.
Some open their eyes,
to enjoy the sights,
and praise these heavenly nights.
To strike and strive,
to survive and thrive.
The Nightingale sings a song of its own,
Of dreams that speak of things unknown,
and things that are yet to be known.
The stars that never fail to shine,
Is a wonderful sign,
that the world is a place divine.
The moon and stars shine oh so bright,
Making the night a starry night.
The myths of vampires, witches,
werewolves and tribrids,
Makes the nights forbidden for kids.
Distant chorus, like the jingling of bells,
Is it a death knell, or fancy's knell?
Oh wait! It’s the arrival of Tinker Bell!
These legends own the night,
With sheer audacity and might ,
they rule the night.
The night holds wonders that are priceless,
only the ones that are mindless,
will fail to understand,
the goodness and calmness,
held by these gorgeous masses.
Nature's darkest secrets are obscure,
so never be sure of things unsure.
The night is never alone or forlorn,
The hoots of owls,
and ribbits of frogs,
come from the woods and ponds,
around and beyond.
Never underestimate the allure of darkness,
It'll take you to places that'll leave you breathless,
and you'll hear the nature's purest of voices,
that'll leave you speechless.
