Never Meant To Stay

I love you,

Inspite of it all, everything you did-

Despite the rumours

Lies supporting a story you wove

You think I don’t see;

The faces you make

You think I don’t hear;

The things you say

Even though you told the world,

Fed them lies-to become a victim

Laughed at my attempts,

I love you

I still feel the same;

I still love you blindly;

I still want you here;

Oh, so badly

This isn’t about a boy-

I could never love a boy

The way I love a friend,

Therefore; I love you

More than strangers-

Less than friends-

Never meant to stay,

For the fates were never kind to us

I can try forgetting

But we both know;

One never forgets
