Iewers in ‘n kosmos het die winde so gesuis

dat ek en jy se paaie eendag gaan kruis.

Jou stem, met ‘n smaak van die heuning soet

het my nader getrek toe ek jou vir eers ontmoet.

Jou glimlag, soos die son se helder geel skyn

het die skroomheid vir liefde in my laat kwyn.

In die seisoen waar die blom en sonlig hartlik vry

was ek en jy bestem om mekaar as maats te kry.

Nou loop ons al lank op die pad wat ons gekies het

En ek volg gewillig, my hart totaal op jou geset.

Die liefde tussen ons, dit plaas on shier en nou

en hierdie man weet, jy is die een wat hy wil trou.
