Neither Living Nor Dead

Free your lover,

Free your cries,

Burning ties and Artemis’s eyes,

My world sick from “Neither living nor dead”,

With sirens wasted and letters misread.

Stooping steps-

Crawled up from the West.

The stop was near, our turn for the test.

My Country sick from “Neither living nor dead”,

With high hopes for the demanded beds.

Fresh Knights-

Lead four- walled lives.

‘Survival of the richest’, the fittest thrive.

‘Gods own Country’ sick from “Neither living nor

dead”,

With every raging foe going after ‘The Red’.

When it sparked, tears shred

When it burned, we began-

The anxious fight, that ruined all meticulous plans.

My city sick from “Neither living nor dead”,

With promises that left the search for bread.

Involved in the darkness-

That always came first.

Who would’ve imagined? The anger outburst as-

My home sick from “Neither living nor dead”,

Has only one Angel, to save my breath.

God knows-

When my time comes.

Certain of the torment and fierce outcome.

My soul sick from “Neither living nor dead”,

With all dreams rendered in dust and dread.
