Nature's Friend

They are old

For thousands of years, they have been bold

Life is harsh they have been told

Everyday loads of them are sold

Energy has we know is their gift

Without them, the whole existence will drift

They take time to grow

By providing life force they regulate the flow

They are the living book of knowledge

Ready to extinct yet holding on the edge

Wood wide web is their network

Fungi colonies are the internet

Nature is thus the toughest teacher

For tiny tots their mother is preacher

Feel pain, talk, learn and dance

More the same as we do and alive as we do

Fossils, fire, and oxygen are just tip of iceberg

They contribute in much more deeper level

They are our trees

About them at least we start to learn
