My Uncommon Comforts

A brown strand of your hair,
dancing in the sunlight,
caressed gently by the wind4
brings me comfort.
Your outline tangled in the bedspread,
your sleep punctured by sighs,
knowing you are lying next to me,
brings me comfort.
Your sour moods and rude words,
followed by an energized version,
who is still rude because that's how you love,
brings me comfort.
Your boisterous laughter,
which often comes as a pleasant surprise,
since your laugh is more funnier than the joke,
brings me comfort.
Your love that pops out in the form of,
hardly spoken sweet words, and
the soothing tone when I am sick,
brings me comfort.
Your mere presence,
the love you make me feel,
so unconditional and pure,
brings me comfort.
The dancing brown strand,
lit up by the rays of the sun,
remind me of the comfort you bring,
And a life I cannot live without you.
