My Testimony

Travelling through my life I felt I had no direction, Until God shone His light on me and promised His protection.

I never was a believer I was very much a sceptic, when one day the Lord touched my heart when I least expected it.

I had a need, a calling, a feeling to be at church, The Lord lifted my blindness and there was no need to search.

I couldn’t understand my feelings but it grew stronger every day, There was no need to question for all was answered when I pray.

I trust the Lord to take me to the place in His mighty plan, with faith, trust & honour unto Him I know that I can.

The Lord is working in my life in so many miraculous ways, I bear testimony to my living God who guides me everyday.

I’m no longer a sceptic I’m very much a believer, For I know my God is with me and often says “I’ll never leave her”

This is my journey & a testimony of my life where I’ve chosen to accept God’s grace, An abundant life of blessings and love My soul need no longer chase.

Inspiration

I wasn’t born into a Christian home but was taught to love and accept all religions.

At 29 years old, in 2007, my spiritual life took an unaccepted pivot. I felt the need to discover more about this Jesus and Christianity.

Without knowing much, about this relationship I was going to discover over the years, my heart knew where I needed to be spiritually.

I was baptised the same year after God revealed Himself to be in various ways.

Confirming His work in my life through either a sermon, song, interaction or conversations with people, my ministry at home but most importantly turning to my bible.

When I was asked to share my testimony with the congregation at that time, I felt very overwhelmed.

But I believed that through prayer, God was going to help me put the words to my feelings.

One evening, just after tucking my boys into their beds, I had a sudden rush word that were floating around in my head.

I felt an urgency to write them down. Before I knew it 8 stanzas had already flew out of my head and onto the page.

I was even surprised at how quickly it was written.

I felt like that was the power of the Holy spirit.

And that’s how this poem was brought about.

Bible Verse

2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness’”

Encouragement

“The will of God will never take you, where the Grace of God cannot support you”- Bernadette Devlin/ Billy Graham
