My Star

Updated: Sep 2

By Rosmin Anna Jain

You shined before me like a star, Spreading the millionth of warm. Wanted to reach out to you, But you were far up above.

And then I mustered the courage and finally rose up. but before I could, you became a real star.

Far away from me now, I stare at the night sky, seeing you over there to think it's just a dream.

But the time went loose, I could not revert it back. I see you up now my star shining brightly like always.

It was too late and I realized it now you were really a star, that I could never reach.
