My hymn for her

hums in the late night blues in my head-

it's soft gentle melody presses against my heart.

Falling in love is never learnt but singing is always such an ancient practice

that makes it's way into my life whenever she walks by.

My hymn for her

is filled with words I never

knew would escape through my lips

my love for her

never fails to lock me in a sell.

My morals say-

do not break her trust

and my heart speaks

past and louder than those

silly morals.

My hymn about her

as I worship her every footstep ruins my heart and my mind how is it that I cannot

move past you?

My song for you is louder

than any other ludicrous

song you might listen to

I mean no disrespect to your peculiar taste

as my hymn for you

is way too unsettling for you and even for me.

I kill this hymn

and choose your song

and so I kill this melody

no matter how breathtaking it may be

I choose your song.
