My Holiday Wish
By Shreyash Anand
To my pumpkin,
I have been through a lot lately,
I can’t even say,
I just want a gift from the one I love,
A gift from my lovely bae.
The gift is not just a present,
But feelings from one’s heart,
The feelings that have created this bond,
The bond from which we could never part.
If you can’t get my hint,
For what I want this time,
I’ll resonate with all my energy,
Just to make you mine.
I want something special,
That I can’t even ask from Him,
Which can’t be granted by the devil,
Is just you and you filled up to the brim.
O come on my darling,
There’s fire burning up my veins,
Just a kiss from your lips,
Can take away all the pain.
I’ve kept it inside,
But cannot hide,
My ‘need’ for you,
Is a thing I cannot fight.
Pick me up in your arms,
And take me from this world,
O my valiant light,
Let’s fly to the dream world.
We’re two sides of a coin,
The opposite yet connected.
If you grant me my wish,
Our minds will remain collected.
My light of June, my pumpkin pie,
Let’s be together, ‘cause the end is nigh.
See what this liar has wrought,
The courage to bring you this yacht,
Which will take us into the endless sea,
Where the whole world can leave us be.
These are just mere words,
But my feelings are no chiller than a firebird.
I think I have made my point clear,
O come on, don’t be shy, just come near.
If you let me I will steal,
the breath left upon your lips,
We will be together,
One until sun’s eclipse.
The soft cherry pie flavored kiss,
Is just my only holiday wish.
