My Heart Belongs To You

By Ishika Verma

Tonight among these stars my eyes were looking for your name,

Why am I still the same?

I knew deep down that you tore my heart into pieces,

Still for you, my mind is writing a thesis.

I gave you part of my soul,

What was my fault?

Trusting you blindly?

Please tell me gently.

Each night, each day I am trying to fix what you broke,

Feels like I am soon going to get a stroke.

I can’t even hate you for the things you did,

My heart still belongs to you stupid.
