My Grand Stoney Flower

Down on the pathway

My eyes fixed upon the rare

Opposing the law of nature

Stood a beauty so fair.

The rugged stone and it's crack

She resisted and tore

Every pearl of the rain

To soak in and grow.

As my eyes stood bare

That fiery flower took a dare

To bloom out of that stone

Whose roots were unknown.

What a flight that flower took

To grow in such relentless nook

With grit and faith, she smiled

No one cared for a second look.

A worthy flower she was

With her strength lo! Behold

Who stood the test of time

With her story untold.

My eyes met the rarest and I truly feel blest

Salute, to this tower and her enduring power

A bow, to this miracle

'My Grand Stoney Flower’.
