My definition

Love can hurt, hurt like a dagger stabbing again and again,

Until you realise that if you keep it in, you will hurt for infinity. But if you take it out, you will bleed till death.

This is unrequited love, the type where you would long for someone so much you would do anything to just breathe the same air as them, even knowing they don't feel the same way at all.

You would yearn for every second you are with them, feel empty when they are not near.

It is as if the universe decided your soul would stay on earth to be tormented by the very touch of them. The red string getting tangled up, so you blind yourself to thinking that it might lead to them.

They might be poison, and you would still agree to devour them.

When you understand that love can be something else, you will not want to go and live another because the guilt will eat you up as a feeling of being the disappointment of your whole life story.

You will forever and ever remember all they did and how they were, like an old dream that can't seem to fly away from your core. An addiction you cannot seem to have control over, a drug that will forever be free, but will kill more than you know.
