ANGER

I feel this anger within me. A deep dark pit issuing forth a haze of bleakness, despair and hatred, tormenting my intelligence, cavorting inside my soul, to destroy and annihilate my very existence.

Where does all this anger come from? Is this the other part of me. Am I like a coin – one side good, the other bad? Do I have a multiple existence? What is there lying so deep and dark down, trying to force its way out?

Life can be fun sometimes, yet life can be evil too. What brought out this anger in my heart and soul? Will it try to totally destroy me? Is it a force that I cannot compete with? Is it a part of me that is fighting for control – to absorb and dissolve the good, the happy, the positive? I feel this tremendous overwhelming urge to inflict pain and hurt upon myself, to humiliate and degrade myself – I wish I knew the reason!

Often, I think I am quite mad! I feel possessed by a force that I cannot fight against, which I cannot see. I am petrified it will devour me, like an all-consuming fire, until nothing is left.

I struggle with my mind to understand what I must do to rid this anger. It is not an emotion I would like to feel so deep, yet I am fascinated that it lies within my heart, silently waiting.

I must search for peace within the turmoil of my mind, only the path is so tedious and tiresome. Would it not be wonderful to find instant happiness?

My rational mind lets me know that anger is an emotion and it is a part of my character.

I hear the wind soughing through the leaves on the trees outside my window. My anger dissipates with the knowledge that I am part of this Universe and one with it.
