Musings

She lay on her back, staring at the ceiling

That fan needs cleaning, she thought

Her mind wandered to earlier today

To the vegetables that she had bought

They need to be properly separated

Her silly maidservant was of little use

Her son needed help with the homework

Wouldn't help if she was always on such short fuse

That presentation in office needs refining

Her boss didn't seem too happy with it

Her colleague had smirked during the Zoom call

He surely thinks he is a better fit

He let out a loud sigh of satisfaction

And rolled off her and onto the bed

"Wasn't it wonderful, my darling?"

"But of course my love", she said.
