"Moved On"
By Mitali Pandey
Sitting in chair, sipping my tea
I zoomed into this wondering how could it be?
Of how I fell for someone so dumb,
I was too stunt to speak and was numb.
Back then , watching me cry ,you said let it be.
I felt this unlovable spirit crawling into me.
Now I laugh watching you scattered into smithereens ,
You needed the miracle to happen , and I had those magic beans.
You told me how unaffectionate you were,
For you had to focus on your career , which by the way was always blur!
But then again you showed up with someone else the very next day,
I was broken even more when I heard you call her bae.
That day I realized of how selfish you people you actually are,
And that very moment I stopped even thinking of you and went way too far.
It didn’t matter to you obviously ,
But you had lost literal gold which you can never earn possibly .
That day I wanted to slap you for breaking my trust ,
I realized that to my metal success you had always been the rust .
Surprisingly , you weren’t even ashamed a bit !
I could’ve just killed you now but fortunately I’m past over it.
Now, I have a new life where I prioritize myself ,
I’m learning to fly high without anyone’s help.
This , oh God, has always been my dream life,
Now I’m soft as cotton but sharp as a knife.
To every moment we’ve spent together ,
I raise a toast to thank you,
For teaching me those valuables for life ,
And making sure that you were never worth my hype!
