Mouth And Ears

God gave you just one mouth

With so much to do about

You can breathe with it when you gasp

Sweet, bitter, sour or salty you can taste

Bite things open with it like a saw

Or chew food into bits with your jaw

When hungry you salivate

Slurs the words when you hesitate

Automatically screams when you're in pain

When poisoned the vomit came

When you're cold it let's you cough

Yawn when sleeplessness is tough

Sing songs of love or of hate

Or kiss when you're with your mate

Tune your throats enough and call it a chant

Or beatbox so good you could dance

The kind of sounds you utter will naturally give an accent

And how you say it out will reveal your intent

Let's you suck air in and so you can smoke

Then it even blows air out and let's you play a saxophone

But god gave you two ears and mouth is just one

And you can’t close your ears but a mouth you can always shut

Ears don't do anything else but listen so you could discern

So that you speak lesser and hear more to learn
