In ancient China, there was a skilled martial artist named Li Wei, renowned for his expertise and strength. His days were filled with rigorous training, yet his heart longed for something more.

One evening, as the moon cast its silver light over the tranquil landscape, Li Wei saw a girl sitting alone beneath its glow. Her beauty was ethereal, her presence like a gentle breeze. Determined to know her, Li Wei approached her one day.

The girl’s name was Mei Xian, which meant "sweet like honey." Her voice, though soft, revealed a sorrowful tone. Despite her beauty, Mei Xian’s eyes held a profound sadness. Li Wei asked her why she always sat beneath the moon, but she remained silent at first.

After many gentle questions, Mei Xian shared her sorrowful tale. She was mourning a lost love, a love that had once been her everything but was now a memory that weighed heavily on her heart. Li Wei listened intently, his own feelings growing deeper as he heard her story.

Days turned into weeks, and every evening after his martial arts training, Li Wei would visit the spot where Mei Xian once sat, hoping to see her again. But each time, he found the place empty. Mei Xian was no longer there.

Over time, Li Wei came to realize that Mei Xian might never have been real. The moonlight, the girl, the sorrow—all were illusions conjured by his own heart. He would sit alone under the moon, speaking to the stars as if Mei Xian was still there, his heart forever marked by the sweet, haunting presence that might have been a dream.

And so, beneath the moonlit sky, Li Wei’s days were spent in quiet reflection, his heart forever bound to a love that was never truly his.
