Moon Among The Stars

The broken heart cried,

cried for the love he lost.

Left alone, abandoned he was,

but the toll was way too high a cost.

Looking at the running fan,

he wondered what the problem was.

He eyes welled up when the thought came,

being the misfit, it seemed.

He felt like the Moon among those twinkling stars.

Slow and steady, he started the journey,

the world of self love and care.

The path wasn't the smoothest,

but he wanted the happiness of his share.

Days, weeks and months passed by,

he was the master of his fears.

The sparkles of his eyes spoke volumes,

he grew happy and outgrew his peers.

He felt like sitting on the edge

of the green leaf like a dew,

Yes, problems can be fun

if you change your point of view.

Sitting in a cafe,

he now enjoyed his tea.

Looking through the window,

he noticed the falling leaf,

that was him, falling free!
