A little girl in me

woke up with a scream

A miracle had happened in a dream

But Mommy saw the missing sheen

A strong warrior resides inside

with armor up against the beauty’s pride

somehow bow down in front of the sight

but Mommy saw the lack of shine

A brave soul awakens someday

fights against the devils at bay

loses the war in every way

but Mommy saw my hopes being slayed

An adult life breaks in the cocoon

sharpened the silver lining to get the boon

killed the ferocious forces by being a goon

but Mommy saw her little girl dying soon
