Moments

We can only look back on those moments,

You’d ask frequently what I’d think about,

I’d say those moments,

Hanging onto particular minutes as if they were ornaments,

Memorising each and every action, wishing they were permanent,

This will pass in actuality, but in my head, they remain resistant,

Up there on highland, hand in hand, sharing feelings that only we understand,

No hiding, no fake smiles, just tears, and thoughtful times,

Through the darkness, lights of the city, shine upon our faces, prompting us to embrace,

Those times I’ll never forget, keeping the moments to go back to when I’m upset,

At the thought of you leaving, my world crashes down without consent,

Tears descending down my face, reminiscing all the happy times spent,

Our fingers intertwined, heartbeat engaged, eyes locked in place,

Feelings linger in attempt to be retraced,

Burden gets too heavy to bare, it’s never felt this complex I swear,

Making life seem so unfair, I wander back to our blissful hours,

Snuggling up closer, resting my head against your shoulder,

As your hand reaches over to wipe away my tears, implying that you care,

White crescent fixed in the sky, the starlit night as our guide,

Empty road, silence of the city by our side,

Cold wind drifting past, unforeseen touches send shivers down my back,

Carpe Diem,

Time lost its track,

Your pair of wings magically took me in,

I could sense peace from within,

Surrounded in your warmth, held together like pieces of unfinished puzzles,

If we could stay here all night, it would be infinite,

Once you said, eternal love doesn’t exist, loving is for a finite time,

Yet, my beliefs don’t agree with your viewpoint,

You called me your lifeline, giving me hope that we’d last a lifetime,

I’ll be there forever, echoed your voice,

My soul inside rejoiced,

Dreams or real life, fate will one day decide,

Go back to the moments,

Where I’ll stay,

Memorising those moments we convey,

Think back to the moments,

I’m staying with you until life decays,

Those moments.
