Rooh ki khoj mein kyu milta sirf shor hai

Aakhon ki nami mein kuch khushi ke pal dhoonde

Sookhe hue phoolo se zindagi ke kuch gham pooche

Suljhe hue rishton ki gaathon ka kya andaaza tha

Sirhaana waado ka jisse kitno ke dum toote

Paristithiyo ke musaafir ke kya koi gham pooche?

Ilm atyant, parantu hasrat ke kuch pal chooke

Kaltal un aakhon ka Jo dukh ka kare parhez

Inaayat ki aasha thi jab ishwar se kiye fareb.
